About the Church: The Benidorm congregation are a very friendly crowd. During the summer months a small band of enthusiastic members keep us all together with Pool parties, BBQ´s etc. We live in Benidorm and surrounding districts, such as the town of Alfaz del Pi and its beach area Albir, the fishing port of Altea and the inland districts of Finestrat and La Nucia. From September "The Winter Crowd" arrive, swelling the numbers considerably from as far afield as America.
Although there are no direct links between the Church and outside organisations, church members are actively involved with Healing and Help International Benidorm, which provides pastoral care and advice to expatriates. We also have strong representation on the British Legion and the Alfaz Theatre Group. We are also involved with many sporting activities - Bowls, Tennis and Petanque. As we follow on our spiritual paths, we are also interested in the wider community and its activities.
Do come and join us at our service, and stay for coffee afterwards. You will be made very welcome. |
| Services: Every Sunday 9.45am in Nuestra Señora de la Almudena (a few minutes walk from Benidorm Railway Station) and every Thursday at 11:00am.
|
Directions:
- The church is two blocks south of Benidorm railway station, and one block in from the Avinguda de Beniarda which runs north from the top of the town towards La Nucia.
- From the sea-front this is an uphill struggle on foot, so some form of transport may be desirable.
- Aim for the railway station. Pass the front of the station and immediately take the next turning left.
- A few metres after the next junction, you will find the church on the left.
- This is a mainly residential area, and a network of one-way streets, but it is usually possible to park somewhere close by.
- Between the station and the church, to your right about 200m away is some open ground where you can park if all else fails.
- We use the Chapel under the main church - enter by the left-hand lower doors.
